Award winning singer-songwriter, Linda McLean, lives in Muskoka writing and recording. Critically acclaimed CDs, Betty's Room and No Language, were written at her forest home, launched years of International touring, media spotlights, radio play, TV spots, performances solo or with band, and backing and forthing across the pond, Now she is giving back to the community that has supported her along the way to becoming one of Canada's best female songwriters "original thinking, prolific, crafting songs full of fire and emotion. Linda McLean is hosting Muskoka Song Night, a songwriting series that will showcase original songs and the established and emerging Canadian songwriters who write them, in a relaxed and welcoming Muskoka style setting.

Robert Priest is a poet, playwright, song-writer, and novelist. As an electrifying performer of ‘rants, raves and reveries’ he has gained notoriety, critical acclaim and respect ever since the release of his first poetic EP in l981 of which FM magazine wrote: "He is a rare hybrid - a poet who can as easily compose hummable melodies as sing them with power." The author of fifteen books of poetry. His most recent book is: Reading the Bible Backwards. He won the Acorn People's Poetry Award for his now classic Mad Hand (1988).In his alias as Dr. Poetry he wrote and performed thirteen segments for CBC radio's spoken-word show Wordbeat. As a songwriter, he co-wrote the number one hit, Song Instead of a Kiss,for Alannah Myles. You may even have seen him recently singing topical songs on CBC Televison's Sunday Night News. He teaches a lyric-writing course at U.of T.'s School of Continuing Education.
