| This showcase of three free days of family fun will take place in Lee Park Friday, July 30th 4pm - 11pm, Saturday, July 31st and Sunday, August 1st 11am - 11pm. New for this year’s stage entertainment are two great headline acts; David Usher who will be performing Saturday, July 31st and Trooper performing Sunday, August 1st. A cheers tent will accompany both acts. David Usher and his band have sold over 1.3 million records. He has won 5 Junos (the Canadian Grammy) including 2002 Pop Album of the Year. In Trooper is one of Canada’s best performing rock bands having sold millions of records, a couple of dozen hits, sold out coliseums across Canada and a Juno Award for Band of the Year. Some of Trooper’s great hits include "We Also new this year is the Outdoor Movie in the Park featuring, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”, Ray’s Reptile Show featuring Crocodiles of the World, Douglas John & Markus from Treehouse Television, the Cookie Monster, Ronald McDonald and The Navy Bus. On Friday, July 30th bring your blankets and come early to pick your spot on the grass for the showing of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.” said Sean Lawlor, Programming Chair. Local bands such as Jake and The Fundamentals, Widdifield Station, The Cody Allen Band, DPC, Twysted Roots, Jim Harney and The John Grolman Band will be engaging the crowds throughout the evening. Summer in the Park will celebrate our local community with family oriented activities with the return of the ever popular Tiger Paw Exotics Petting Zoo, Jonathan Circus, Children’s Product and food vendors will be set up in Lee Park throughout the three day event together with local community groups who will be presenting their talents through performances and displays. Participants of all ages are encouraged to ride their bikes down to Cheapskate’s secure bike area for safe, free bike storage during their visit at the event. Also don’t forget to bring your non- perishable food items with you as Summer in the Park will be collecting donations over the course of the weekend for the North Bay Food Bank. “We encourage all members of the community and their families to come down and join us in this FREE, three day family event of fun and entertainment” said Mayor Fedeli.
